DETECTIVE COMICS #838-839 (Paul Dini/Ryan Benjamin)
Le dessinateur Ryan Benjamin ( Phantom Guard) travaille actuellement sur un projet pour l'éditeur DC Comics dont il ne peut révéler grand chose :

Im changing up my style a bit, well not changing just coming out with a dope style I got that most people havent seen yet. its all based on the covers I did for the Grifter/Midnighter series. .... What book do you guys think I shoud do next for DC?

Il dessinera donc l'ensemble de ce projet dans le même style graphique que les couvertures de la série limitée Grifter & Midnighter. Sur le site de Jim Lee, gelatometti2.blogspot.com, Benjamin avouait déjà il y a quelques mois sa volonté d'exploiter ce nouveau style dans des pages intérieures :

Son projet pour DC est-il celui qu'il prépare avec Sean Ruffner ( Backlash/Spider-Man) ? Aucune info pour l'instant.
Ce n'est que début avril que Ryan Benjamin dévoile les premières images dans sa galerie sur le site deviantart.com, sans toutefois les commenter :

Les cornes sont un peu trop arrondies rapport à celles auxquelles on est habitué mais en dehors de ça, j'adhère aussi à 100%!

On en sait désormais un peu plus : Ryan Benjamin va dessiner un épisode de Detective Comics qui s'intégre au cross-over de fin d'année des titres Batman, “The Resurrection of Ra’s al Ghul”. Sortie prévue en novembre. Benjamin ne conservera pas son poste de dessinateur par la suite puisque c'est Dustin Ngyen qui devient le dessinateur régulier de Detective Comics en 2008.
