"It will be a four issue mini again. The first issue is going to be Captain America as Peter Pan -- the Avengers are pretty much the Lost Boys like Black Panther, Thor and Hawkeye, and Wendy is Wanda with Quicksilver as the brother.
"And Issue #2, we're going to do the Wizard of Oz. She-Hulk, Jennifer Walters, falls into Oz. Iron Man as Tin Man is the natural choice, but then we're going to mix it up a little and have Thor as the Scarecrow. Adrian Alphonso did a great design for him, so that should be fun," Cebulski continued. "The yellow brick road is going to be the Rainbow Bridge. And I had this joke when I pitched it that we would do this House of M thing where, instead of no more mutants, we'd do no more Munchkins. It was in my pitch and everyone laughed, and I got it approved, so I might have to put that in there."
Cebulski said Issue #3 will be based on Pinocchio, with the lead role being played by Vision, "the robot that wants to be human." And Issue #4 is going to be Alice in Wonderland, with characters including the Young Avengers, Quicksilver as the White Rabbit, and Tigress as Cheshire Cat.

Je sens que ça va me plaire cette idée de revisiter des contes célèbres et d'y introduire les vengeurs en tant que personnages.
Bref ça me plait bien d'autant que les visuels de la page précédente sont bien jolis.
Je me demande si Panini envisagera de publier ces numéros en 100% car c'est le genre de trucs qu'on peut faire lire aux petits frères et petites soeurs voir petits cousins ou mieux à ses gosses.

Sur le modèle des X-Men Fairy Tales, voici venu en 2007 Avengers Fairy Tales, une série limitée dont toutes les couvertures seront dessinées par Claire Wendling. La première histoire sera une réécriture du mythe de Peter Pan, avec Captain America dans le rôle de celui qui refusait de grandir. Le scénariste C.B. Cebulski est toujours à la barre, accompagné pour cet épisode de son complice portugais Joao Lemos, avec qui il prépare SHIKI chez Image Comics. |

On vous en parle depuis plus d'un an et comme on se rapproche de la sortie du premier numéro (mars 2008), il est temps de remettre le couvert.
Si le premier épisode est une relecture de Peter Pan, dessinée par Joao Lemos, le second épisode exploitera Pinocchio, le pantin qui voulait être un enfant. Ce sera donc Vision, avec Wasp dans le rôle de Jiminy Cricket et Hank Pym dans celui de Geppetto, le tout dessiné par un autre artiste portugais, Nuno Plati.
Et Adrian Alphona, censé dessiner le troisième épisode (reprise d' Alice in Wonderland), a été remplacé par Takeshi Miyazawa. Le quatrième épisode sera une relecture du Magicien d'Oz. Le nom du dessinateur n'a pas encore été indiqué.
