WITCHBLADE #110-112: FIRST BORN (Ron Marz/Stephen Sadowski, Luke Ross, Rick Leonardi)

C'est Matt Haley qui va dessiner ces trois numéros, avec des covers de Mike Mayhew et toujours sur un scénario de Ron Marz.

Cet arc en trois parties devrait nous révéler qui est le père du bébé de Sara Pezzini.

Depuis la révélation du #100, Pezzini a donc décidé dans le #103 de passer le relais à quelqu'un afin de mettre au monde son enfant dans de bonnes conditions...

Ces épisodes s'inscrivent dans une série limitée intitulée First Born.

Changement de programme : Witchblade #110 (juillet) et 111 (août) n'ont toujours pas été publiés en raison de l'engagement du dessinateur Matt Haley sur le show "Who Wants To Be A Super-Hero?" et d'un décès dans la famille du scénariste Ron Marz. Ce dernier et Top Cow ont donc décidé de revoir la programmation de ces titres afin de retrouver une cadence mensuelle : le contenu de Witchblade #110 est supprimé, et c'est celui du #111 qui prend sa place (un épisode dessiné par Steve Sadowski). C'est ensuite Luke Ross qui prend le relais aux dessins pour les épisodes suivants. Witchblade #110 sera publié en octobre.

Très fun à lire ce #111. Superbement illustré par Ross et encré par Nowlan. Plus palpitant que le 110 de Sadowsky. Le tandem Luke Ross/Kevin Nowlan fait merveille, leur héroïne est vraiment très zolie !!! Du coup, je vais regretter ces dessins quand va arriver Stefjan, avec ses bons gros effets sombres et sa palette graphique ... Mais bon, Marz fait du très bon boulot, donc profitez de l'occasion de lire du Top Cow mensuel, bien écrit et bien illustré, les trois à la fois, ça devient tellement rare chez cet éditeur ...
